Flat Earther

Though the earth be flat,
and I tried to sail around the world,
I wouldn't fall at the edge;
the waves would bring me back to you.
If I were on the moon,
and it lost the earth's pull,
your love would pull me back to you.
In the dead of night,
when the sun had lost its light,
even then your smile would shine bright,
and your touch would warm my heart.
I was drowning in the dark,
in a wild and stormy sea;
I could barely cry for help,
I was all out of hope.
Then your hands reached into the depths.
When I opened my eyes,
I could barely look at you.
Like an angel of the Lord,
your face shone like the stars,
your smile as beautiful as the moon.
You saved me from the grave;
you kept me from falling into the pit.
Though the earth be round,
I would fall without your love.
